EXTRACT’S ELECTRICAL SUBMERSIBLE PUMP WITH AN IGP OUTPERFORMS GAS LIFT.
Extract's electrical submersible pump with an IGP outperforms gas lift systems in a traditional gas lift field, generating more production and operating cash flow.
THE PROBLEM:
A Delaware Basin operator in Eddy County, New Mexico wanted to draw down their wells further and more efficiently, but in this field the operator was limited to gas lift systems because of the amount of gas this Wolfcamp formation is known to produce.
The IGP outperformed the operator's IP target by 10%.
Extract took on the challenge by incorporating our IGP combined with a ESP system encountering up to 70% free gas at the intake, and an average GLR of 2700 cuft/bbl.
THE PROCESS:
The IGP outperformed the operator’s IP target by 10%. The operator captured more than $500,000 in additional oil production over a six-month period. We also found that theIGP outperformed the offset gas lift analog data by 35% which in comparison, the operator picked up $675,000 in additional oil production in a formation that, like this operator, most have given up on producing with an ESP.

Conclusion
After six months of runtime, the IGP has demonstrated not only it’s mechanical reliability, but outperforms gas lift, and increases free cash flow by successfully drawing the reservoir down in an incredibly harsh, gassy environment where most operators would default to gas lift as the primary form of artificial lift for this Wolfcamp zone.
